About Attorney Christopher Barwick Newbern
Chris Newbern is committed to fighting for plaintiffs and families who
have been seriously harmed by the negligence or recklessness of others.
cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. He then began his legal
career at a premier defense firm in Atlanta, where he represented local
and national businesses on behalf of some of the world’s largest
Chris joined the Plaintiff’s Bar in 2014 as a valued member of a
nationally-renowned trial firm that specializes in representing plaintiffs
in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. During his time there,
he helped clients to recover millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements
and was on the legal team that obtained the largest jury verdict in the
history of the firm – a $73 million verdict in favor of a gentleman
who had been burned in a gas explosion at an apartment complex.
At Chuck Clay & Associates, LLC, Chris focuses his practice on representing
plaintiffs in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases of all
types, including cases involving premises liability, negligent security,
construction accidents, crane accidents, automobile accidents, trucking
accidents, defamation, product liability, and professional malpractice.
Chris is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Jordan. They live
together in Marietta near the Historic Marietta Square. Outside of the
office, Chris and Jordan enjoy hiking, live music, and spending weekends
on the water.
